Women in Business Event is Back

Wednesday 17th March 2010

The big regional event is back. This time it is more than a lunch. We are inviting lots of companies to exhibit and there will be workshops to attend and lots more networking opportunities.

This year's speaker is Diane Louise Jordan. You may know her from Blue Peter, Songs of Praise or Grandstand but ‘Presenter’, tells only a small part of the story.

Diane has a wealth of business acumen. She has run her own property company for the last 10 years and as an accomplished speaker launched Chronicle21, offering bespoke talks and training.

Diane’s books include “How to Succeed as a Single Parent” and “So Why do they call it Chemistry?” highlighting extraordinary relationships from business to personal.

Identify the factors that have helped to create the stress and anxiety you may be currently suffering from. If you find yourself being constantly berated by negative ‘mind chatter’, then you can develop strategies to change your way of thinking in order to overcome negativity and develop a more positive mindset

Managing your Cash Flow - Chris Sellars, Hart Shaw Accountants
Chris will help you to make sense of your business cash-flow and financial forecasting, including understanding working capital, managing your cash-flow and funding sources.

Marketing Health Check  - Natalie Rodgers, Scala UK
Do you feel like you need to get a grip on your businesses marketing? Do you think that you are spending valuable time and resources on marketing activities but that it’s not generating business? Well, this seminar is just for you!
This session will help you gain a focus to your organisations marketing plans and activities. It will provide you with a marketing planning toolkit to enable you to carry out a Marketing Health Check for your company and guidance on how to achieve an effective mix of marketing activities.

Irwin Mitchell LLP National Netball Tournament

In conjunction with the English Institute of Sport, Irwin Mitchell LLP are
running a Charity Netball Tournament on Sunday 27th June 2010 to raise
money for the Cavendish Cancer Care Centre.

The tournament is open to people of all abilities so why not enter a team and get involved to support
this fantastic cause!

DATE: Sunday 27th June 2010
VENUE: English Institute of Sport – Sheffield
TIME: To be Confirmed
TEAMS: 7 players plus 3 substitutes
ENTRANCE FEE: £100 per team
DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: FRIDAY 18TH JUNE 2010

Balls and bibs will be provided by the Institute.
All players must be 16 years or above.
Females only tournament.
Teams must bring their own packed lunch.
All funds raised will be donated to Cavendish Cancer Care Trust.

Social Networking with Women In Business

We have recently created a brand new social networking site to encourage our members to network with each other online.

The new site will replace the Members Directory section on our website which was becoming very popular and subsequently taking quite a bit of time to administrate.  With our new social networking site you can promote your business to other members, offer discounts and make direct contact.

The site uses the NING platform so if you already have a Ning logon for another site you should be able to add this one to your profile.
